Celebrate Your Child’s Birthday with an Arboretum Party!  Children will explore the natural world both inside and outside!

Interior Venues

2-Hour rental for up to 70 guests. Spaces are located within the Nature Center with climate-controlled spaces with access to restrooms. 

Komatsu Garden

This exterior venue is situated within the shaded pine-forest and features a beautiful Japanese Pergola. The venue accommodates up to 35 guests.

WhichWay Garden

This exterior garden venue is situated beneath the shade of the pine canopy. This outdoor venue accommodates up to 35 guests.

The Hilltop Gazebo

The vintage styled gazebo sits atop the formal gardens and offers incredible views that are sure to make your private event bloom. This outdoor venue accommodates up to 75 people.

Waters Edge Stage

You and your guests can enjoy the lovely deck overlooking the one-acre lily pond and pine curtain. This outdoor venue accommodates up to 75 guests.

Entire Garden

The entire Arboretum gardens may be rented on Mondays when we are closed to the public.

Days

Rental Guidelines & Information

Admission to LANC Gardens is included in your rental fee.

Parties will be reserved on a first come first served basis.

Booking Deposit – A 25% non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking.

Security Deposit – A $100 refundable security deposit is due at the time of booking to secure your reservation. If there are damages to the grounds or property, the fees are deducted from your deposit.  If the damage exceeds the deposit, you are responsible to pay for all damages incurred. 
Your security deposit will be mailed to you up to 30 days after your event, minus any applicable deductions.

Payment in Full – Payments for wedding rentals must be paid in full 2 weeks prior to the event. Payments can be made by credit card, cash or mailing a check.  Payments made by check must be made at least 14 days in advance of the event.

If your event goes beyond your contracted time, you will incur an overtime charge of $150 per hour or partial hour.

Please note that a surcharge of $100/hr will apply to all events scheduled outside of LANC’s standard operating hours to accommodate additional staffing and security requirements.

Cancellation must be made at least 30 days before the reservation date, or the deposit will be forfeited.

Refreshments are only permitted in the rental area space. The Arboretum does not provide refreshments or the use of a refrigerator or freezer. Please bring a cooler if you need to keep items cold. You may have access to the sinks in the concession area for clean-up.

Set Up:
Set-up and clean-up time is included in the rental. Tables and chairs may be rented from a local facility or brought by your group. You are responsible for providing and setting up decorations, refreshments, paper goods, candles/lighters, and utensils. Please bring cleaning supplies and trash bags.

Restricted Items:

  • No Silly String
  • No Confetti
  • No Piñatas
  • No Glitter
  • No tape left on the walls or taken outside into the gardens.
  • Balloons must remain inside the party room and not taken out into the gardens.

 

Clean Up:
Please leave the area as you found it. Bring your trash bags, cleaning supplies, and anything else to clean up properly. Place your trash in the trash cans provided. If damage occurs or the area is not cleaned, the deposit will not be returned.

Outside vendors such as food/drink vendors and face painters are permitted, but must have LANC approval.

Live animal shows are not permitted.

Please confirm your vendors with LANC a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the event.

It is always good to have a back-up plan in case of poor weather. 

Tents may be permitted in some locations pending approval by the executive director.  If tents are utilized, they may only be secured with water barrels. Stakes into the ground may hit irrigation lines, heads or electrical lines and are not permitted.

Safety and Etiquette

The Arboretum complies with accessibility guidelines.

  • Certified service animals are permitted in the Arboretum. Please leave all other animals at home.
  • Stay on trails and garden paths; watch your step on uneven terrain. Do not climb trees, structures, or water features. Do not disturb or remove plants, flowers, rocks, or landscape elements. Do not pick flowers. Do not remove or relocate signs or plaques.
  • Do not take or harm any of the wildlife (this includes feeding squirrels, birds, and fish.)
  • You are in a natural setting and may encounter a variety of plants and animals. Report any sightings of unusual animal behavior to LANC staff. Seek shelter when lightning or thunderstorms threaten.
  • Wagons and strollers are permitted, please stay on the trails. Bicycles, tricycles, skateboards, or other sports items such as frisbees, footballs, baseballs, kites, and soccer balls are not permitted. Balloons and drones are also prohibited.
  • Smoking, vaping, or e-cigarettes are not permitted in any area of the Arboretum or the Visitor Center. This includes any evening public activities such as concerts and member activities. Smoking in the Arboretum parking lot must be 20 feet away from the door. Smoking is permitted in the Maude Cobb parking lot.
  • All outdoor flames such as candles, cooking grills, and fireworks are prohibited.
  • No hunting or weapons are allowed on Arboretum property.
  • No swimming or wading in the pond or features. Please stay on the trails.
  • All amplified music is prohibited unless previously approved by LANC.
  • Don’t forget hats and sunscreen. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking.
  • You may bring outside food such as snacks and drinks. We ask that you properly dispose of all trash in the appropriate bins. NO ALCOHOL is permitted unless at an outdoor concert or other specified event. Glass containers are prohibited.
  • Photography is allowed in the gardens. Please refer to our Photography Policy for additional information.
  • Please report any unsafe conditions to Longview Arboretum personnel.
  • For emergencies, please call 9-1-1.
