The Longview Arboretum is honored to host the 3rd Annual Pilar McLemore Butterfly Run, benefiting the Texas Oncology Foundation. This special event not only brings our community together for a day of fitness and fun but also supports a cause that touches countless families across East Texas. Proceeds from the race go directly to help local families as they face the fight of their lives, providing much-needed support right here at home.
New this year! We are thrilled to introduce the “Little Bug Run”—a free, kid-friendly race designed especially for children 12 and under. Young runners will get to dash through the beauty of the Arboretum trails, earning prizes, smiles, and making memories along the way.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker or cheering from the sidelines, this event is full of energy, excitement, and community spirit. It’s a celebration of resilience, remembrance, and hope, and we can’t wait to see families of all ages join us for this meaningful day.
The Longview Arboretum has joined the American Horticultural Society Reciprocal Garden Network.
